Consequences of Global Warming

Global warming has dramatic consequences. You have probably heard about the polar bears in the Arctic who cannot find food anymore because the ice is melting under their paws. Without the Sea ice cover they cannot hunt for seals and starve to death.

But the polar bears are not the only ones to suffer. When the icebergs and the glaciers (e.g. in the Alps, the Himalayas, in Antarctica) of our planet melt, the Sea levels rise. Many islands and coastal cities are threatened.

Here you can see a map with all the areas along the coasts which will be flooded if global warming continues.

Yet, there are still more problems: every continent of the planet is concerned in various ways.

But solutions to stop global warming exist!
